Bread rolls

Homemade bread rolls

2 tsp yeast
1 tbsp sugar or molasses or brown sugar
100 ml olive oil
300 ml warm water
1 egg
500g white bread flour
100g oats or another type of flour
2 tsp salt

Mix the yeast, sugar, oil and water together - let it stand until bubbles form. Using a stand mixer combine the egg, salt, bread flour and oats (or other flour) with the yeast mixture, mix for around 8 mins until dough forms. Remove from mixer, shape into a disc and place into a bowl, cover with a damp cloth or glad wrap. Place in a warm spot and leave to rise until doubled in size, approx 1.5hrs.

Set oven to 180 degrees fan forced. Gently knead the dough to release the air, form into a bread roll size and place onto a baking tray lined with baking paper. Leave to rise again, approx 45mins.

Glaze with an egg wash and sprinkle with sesame seeds, place into oven for approx 20 to 25mins, until brown on top.
